Please plan to arrive by late afternoon on the Friday of your weekend. Digital detox is a real thing and we have found that people who arrive on Friday afternoon have an infinitely better experience than those who arrive Saturday.
Yes, you will need Friday night to stop caring about your damn cell phone.
Typically, a great weekend starts with Friday's Golden Hour and sunset on the Friendship Platform followed by a bon fire.
Saturday holds so many options (see "Things to Do" below) and most folks head home between 10 AM and noon on Sunday.
We now have TWO 10x12 wall tents, both with king sized beds. Truthfully, it is a fantastic experience to sleep in these tents.
Note: the tents do NOT have electricity
On your first visit, we'll handle sheets. Want to come back? Please bring sheets!
In 2023, we added a bath house with a shower, sink, toilet, washer/ dryer, fridge, and outdoor kitchen. The bath house has electricity.
We also have a small-tent camping area where campers can pitch their tents. It is pretty level (though not perfect), shady, and has mountain creeks flowing by on both sides. You'll drift off to sleep listening to Mother Nature's serenade.
If you're really adventurous, you're welcome to camp in the Gosan!
Food/ Cooking Resources on site:
NOTE: We do NOT have the ability to pan-fry foods in a skillet EXCEPT over the fire.
We will provide Blanchard’s coffee (French press) and sugar. If you have a special creamer or non-sugar sweetener, please bring it.
Please bring your breakfast foods, simple lunch foods, your fave snacks, and beverages.
Note that we may break out the griddle for pancakes and bacon. It depends on what else is happening the weekend you visit. We'll let you know a few days before your weekend.
Before your weekend, we will coordinate with you on meals. Typically, we'll cook dinner one night and you'll cook dinner one night.

Bugs are minimal (typically flies & no-see-ums). We don’t have mosquitoes. We will supply bug spray for boots/ shoes/ pants (from the knee down) to deter ticks.

Our friendship with Jeff & Teresa Munn, owner's of Loafer's Glory & Dry Run Spirits, is one of the great blessings in our life. Henry Amick, a Revolutionary War veteran, first settled Loafer's Glory in 1793. The Munn's are only the third family to own and steward this beautiful, historic property.
For years, they have shared it with us and we are excited to share it with you.
Jeff & Teresa have taught us more than we could possibly chronicle, supported us with loaned tools and labor, and shared (or instigated) our adventures.
Plus, how great is it that "Stiller Jeff" has an endless supply of high quality hooch, just two miles away?!!
Here's to nights we'll never remember with people we'll never forget!
When we were kids we played outside until dusk and wandered freely in the woods. Today, our happiest moments come when we laugh and play with people we love.
For four generations, Dunlap children endured the same response whenever they asked for something they wanted. "You'll get that...some Tuesday."
When Tricia's dad, Steve Dunlap, finally got the 36' Chris Craft touring boat he'd dreamed of for years, he christened her "Some Tuesday." Steve Jr. followed suit 20 years later, naming his catamaran "Some Tuesday." For the Dunlaps and now the Cossaboons, "Some Tuesday" has always meant that magical time and place when your wildest dream comes true.
The idea of naming our "farm" Some Tuesday dropped on us out of the blue while we were tooling along Capito Hill Road in Ernie (the Pioneer). It was the fall of 2022 and we had chosen to delay building our dream home. We were and are a little sad about that. But we KNOW we will do it some day. As we rode along, Tricia absentmindedly said to Kenny "Don't worry, honey. We'll do it someday. Some Tuesday...."
Wait! Some Tuesday!? That's it!!! That's the only possible name this miraculous place could ever have.
Some Tuesday it is.
I can't wait to see my dress!
Not many brides would say that a month before the wedding day, but I am lucky to be getting a custom design by the one and only "Meghan Fabulous"! Meghan and my brother Steve are an item and we met her when she came with Steve for Christmas last year (Meghan is in red in the photo - but then you knew that, didn't you?). When I started thinking about my wedding gown, I asked Meghan for some fashion advice and she offered to make my dress. I love the care-free, bohemian, sexy vibe of Meghan's fashion line and it took me about a nano second to accept her incredibly generous offer.
Since March, Meghan and I have been emailing and texting about my dress. Needless to say, my attorney-brain has gotten quite an education about creating a dress from scratch. To start out, I picked a dress from Meghan's line that could serve as a base for the pattern. I chose the Stargazer. After I received it in the mail, I sent Meghan some pics of me in the Stargazer and she adapted the dress pattern to better flatter my shape.
In May, Meghan sent me a sample of my forthcoming dress to try on. I tried it and sent her pictures. She looked at the pictures and knew exactly how to tweak the pattern to make sure the dress would be amazing on me (this makes her a genius, from what I can tell). By email, Meghan sent me about a dozen pictures of various lace patterns. I wanted something bold and "not-bridal" that I can wear again. I'll never forget scrolling through the pictures thinking "hmmm, that one's nice . . . that one is ok... that's pretty.... " and then I got to pic # 11 and my jaw dropped. That's it!!!!
So, Meghan and I have been on an adventure together. I sort of, mostly know what my dress will look like but a lot of it is in my imagination still. I'm not a creative person. I'm logical and rational. I absolutely could not do what Meghan does. I can't wait to see the dress but, more importantly, I'm happy that making the dress with Meghan deepened our connection. The dress will be amazing, I'm sure, but it will also be a symbol of our friendship and that makes it priceless.
Ladies, if you want a new dress for our wedding, choose Meghan Fabulous!
It is July 29th - five days to our wedding day - and as I met with Bron to discuss our flowers it hit me how incredibly blessed I am. At every turn, this wedding has reminded me of how loved I am or created new friendships I never could have envisioned.
Bron Hansboro and I first met in August of 2002 when he walked into my AP Government classroom at Thomas Dale HS. I wish he could come to the wedding because then you would all understand why I love him so. He radiates a joyful, irrepressible energy. He was wonderful to have in class and when he invited me to his graduation party in June, 2003 I happily went and met his family. A year or two later, when I was encouraging Briun to consider Howard University, we drove up to DC and Bron gave us a tour of what is now his alma mater.
We lost touch after that but reconnected again a few years ago thanks to Facebook and Annie. Kenny and I had Bron and his husband Lloyd over for dinner and we reconnected as if not a day had lapsed.
Several years ago, Bron leapt from teaching to business owner when he opened "The Flower Guy, Bron." For Bron, flowers are a uniquely expressive art form. We have met twice to talk about the wedding. I've shared this website with him so he knows our philosophy and I sent him a picture of my dress last week. That's it. The result will be a surprise.
I don't really know what the flowers will look like and that's yet another gift. I can't wait to see Bron's vision come to life. Thanks Bron!!!
